Who we are:
The Gulf-European Centre for Human Rights is a not-for-profit human rights center, publishing human rights news and articles to raise awareness of the plight of the people in the Middle East. The center, the first of its kind solely run by members of the Arab and non-Arabs professional and academics, aims to raise awareness of the suffering of people in the Middle East under the Iranian regime policies, which includes systematic violations of the people’s social, political, environmental and human rights.
We get our information directly from credible sources inside the Middle Eastern and, in an effort to raise wider global awareness and help to bring the cause of freedom, long marginalised and disregarded by the international community and the world’s media to wider attention.
The center seeks to achieve the following objectives:
- To promote respect for and awareness of human rights and freedoms
- Work on contributing to relief campaigns due to violations of human rights
- To promote the principles of equality and equal citizenship, peaceful coexistence, dialogue and anti-discrimination in all its forms
- To defend the freedom of opinion and expression and promote a culture of dialogue and recognition of the other
