GECHR expresses concern over the repression of protesters in France

The Gulf European Centre for Human Rights has expressed great concern about the developments in the French capital Paris, which witnessed widespread protests between citizens and security forces for more than a week.
GECHR calls on the French government to calm down and to listen to the demands of citizens who practice their protests peacefully. The centre also urged both parties to sit at the same table, to settle the crisis.
The Centre expressed deep concern over the repression of protesters in France. Calling on the French government to "exercise restraint" and engage in a "meaningful dialogue" with the protesters. The Centre stressed its concerns about the use of violence by security forces against peaceful protesters.
According to the sources in France, one protestor was killed today Sunday (2nd December) by French security forces, several injured and over 60 people were arrested.
GECHR strongly condemns violence against protesters and urges both sides to sit together and avoid violence in protests.
